World Cup mascot "Zakumi"
Zakumi means unity in South Africa. "Za" means. While "Kumi" means ten, shows 10 languages spoken in South Africa.
According to Jerome Valcke (FIFA Secretary General), the mascot was designed exclusively in South Africa. South Africa will become history, because the first African country to host the World Cup.
"Zakumi represents the people, geography and spirit of South Africa. He held the World Cup in 2010. We believe, everyone can have fun with it, during the Confederations Cup, also during the World Cup in 2010.
Andries Odendaal (an artist designer Zakumi) from the City of Cape Town. Green hair mascot portrayed grass football pitch.
For FIFA, Zakumi will help bring the 2010 World Cup in South Africa is greater, fun, and unforgettable. He will also demonstrate to the thousands who will come there on the beauty of the African continent.
